Search is the dedicated finder for when you know roughly what you are looking for — a keyword, a city, a date range or a budget — and want every filter available in one place, rather than the lighter filters on the main Events page.
What you can filter by
- Keyword — matches the event title, description, venue and city.
- Category and City — both dropdowns only list values that currently have upcoming public events, with a live count next to each category.
- Free events only and Online events only — checkboxes you can combine with anything else.
- More filters (behind the expandable toggle) — a date-from / date-to range and a minimum / maximum ticket price.
- Sort — Soonest, Latest, Title A–Z, Price low to high, or Price high to low.
How to search
- Type a keyword and/or set any filters, then submit the form.
- The result count and your keyword (if any) show at the top of the page.
- Use “Clear filters” to reset and start over.
Good to know
- Price sorting and the min/max price filter go by the cheapest active ticket type on the event, not an average or the most expensive one.
- Search only ever returns events that are live and public and have not started yet — the same visibility rule as Browse Events (an organizer’s Private event never appears here either, direct link only).
- No results still shows you something — when a search comes up empty, the page falls back to a short list of currently trending events (the events with the most recent bookings) so you are not looking at a blank page.
Troubleshooting
- Zero results for a keyword I know exists — check whether a price, date or free/online checkbox from a previous search is still applied; they persist in the URL until you clear them.
- Price filter feels wrong for a multi-tier event — that is expected: it filters and sorts on the lowest active ticket price, so a $10 early tier will always place the event under a low-price filter even if the VIP tier is expensive.
- An event I can open directly does not show up in search — it is most likely set to Private (unlisted) visibility by its organizer, or it has not started its Live stage yet.
