Your Staff Profile is what organisers see when deciding whether to approve you for an event or match you to a shift. Keeping it current is the main lever you have over the opportunities you get offered.
What you can edit here
- Bio — a free-text summary of yourself, up to 2,000 characters.
- Skills — add or remove skill tags one at a time; there is no fixed list, you type your own.
- Certifications — the same tag-style add/remove, for anything you hold (first aid, food safety, etc.).
- Emergency contact — a single free-text field for a name and number.
- Availability — a simple Monday-to-Sunday set of checkboxes for the days you are generally free.
How to update your profile
- Open My Profile from the sidebar.
- Type a skill or certification and press Enter, or click the + button, to add it as a tag; click the × on a tag to remove it.
- Tick the days you are generally available.
- Click Save Profile.
Good to know
- A brand-new profile starts in Pending approval, shown as a yellow notice at the top of this page. An EventMann admin reviews and activates it — only active profiles are considered when organisers auto-assign staff to shifts based on skills and availability.
- Availability here is a general weekly pattern, not per-event blocking — it feeds automatic shift matching but does not stop you from being assigned outside it.
- Skills and certifications are free text, not picked from a fixed list — use whatever wording is clearest to an organiser scanning quickly (e.g. “bartending” rather than an internal abbreviation).
- Everything on this page saves together in one submit — there is no autosave, so an unsaved skill or availability change is lost if you navigate away first.
- This page does not cover your account name, email, or password — those live under your general account settings, not here.
Troubleshooting
- My profile still says Pending after I filled everything in — completing the fields does not activate the profile itself; it still needs an EventMann admin to review and approve it.
- A skill or certification I added disappeared — if you added it and then left the page without clicking Save Profile, it was never sent to the server.
