Communication with Organizers

Help articles may not be fully accurate — they can lag behind the app due to frequent updates and automated translation. If in doubt, please contact support.

EventMann does not currently have a dedicated messaging inbox between you and organizers — there is no thread tied to an event, contract, invoice, or task where you can go back and forth. This article covers what actually exists today, so you know where to look and what to arrange outside the platform.

What actually exists

  • The notification bell at the top of every page is shared across all roles on EventMann. The one thing that reaches you through it as a vendor is a Request Quote message — someone viewing your public marketplace profile can send you a short message, optionally tied to one of their events, before any formal booking exists. It arrives as a one-way notification with a link back to your Vendor Portal; there is no reply button attached to it.
  • Everything after that — discussing scope, negotiating a fee, chasing a late invoice approval, asking about a contract clause — has to happen outside EventMann, by whatever means you and the organizer normally use.

What EventMann keeps as a written record instead

  • The contract content once one is issued to you (see Signing Contracts).
  • The Notes field on an invoice you submit.
  • Task titles and descriptions the organizer writes when assigning you work.
  • The rating and comment an organizer leaves for you after the event.

None of these are a conversation — each is a one-way, one-time piece of text tied to a specific record. Anything that needs discussing rather than just recording has to happen off-platform.

Good to know

  • You are not emailed when an organizer assigns you to an event, issues you a contract, or acts on your invoice. The notification bell and your dashboard are the only in-app signals, and even the bell is limited to the quote-request case above — for everything else, checking your Vendor Portal regularly is the only way to stay current.
  • Because there is no in-app thread, get anything you agree with an organizer — price changes, deadline extensions, scope clarifications — confirmed in writing over email or another channel you both keep. Do not rely on the platform to have recorded a conversation that happened elsewhere.

Troubleshooting

  • I cannot find a way to message an organizer about my assignment — there is not one; use whatever contact details you have for them outside EventMann.
  • I sent a Request Quote and heard nothing back — that notification has no reply mechanism at all; a real reply needs a direct channel to the organizer, not the platform.
  • An organizer says they messaged me and I never saw it — unless it was a Request Quote from your public profile, no other messaging feature could have delivered it; ask them to resend through whatever channel they actually meant.
