My Venues is your portfolio of physical spaces — separate from any one event. Create a venue here once, then reuse it across every event you run there, or open it up so other organizers can request to book it too.

What you can do here

  • Create a venue — name, address, capacity, timezone, website, and amenities.
  • Design the seating layout — zones and seats for events that use assigned seating.
  • Block off availability — mark date ranges the venue is unavailable, with an optional reason.
  • Configure service packages — bundle venue services (catering, AV, staffing) that other organizers can request.
  • Browse other public venues — approved venues owned by other organizers, and submit a booking request for one.
  • Manage incoming booking requests — approve, decline, or complete requests other organizers send for your venue, and reply to reviews.

How to add a venue and make it public

  1. Create the venue with its address, capacity, and amenities.
  2. A new venue starts in Pending review — it only becomes bookable by other organizers once an admin approves it.
  3. Keep it switched active once approved; an inactive or unapproved venue never appears in another organizer's browse list.
  4. Add zones and seats, availability blocks, and service packages as needed.

Settings explained

  • Business registration — an optional reference number that supports your admin approval; it is not shown publicly.
  • Availability block — a date range plus an optional reason; it only prevents new bookings, it does not cancel anything already scheduled.
  • Amenities — free-form tags shown on the venue's public listing.

Good to know

  • Assigning a venue you own to one of your own events is done from that event's Venue screen under Manage, not here.
  • You cannot submit a booking request for your own venue — the request form redirects you back if you try.
  • Getting approved for someone else's venue does not automatically attach it to your event — the event's venue picker only lists venues you own, so you'll coordinate the actual event details directly with the venue owner.
  • Only venues that are both active and admin-approved show up when other organizers browse or search.

Troubleshooting

  • My venue isn't showing up for other organizers — it is still Pending admin review, or you have it switched inactive.
  • I can't request my own venue — that's expected; you already have direct access to it from your event's Venue screen.
  • A booking request I approved didn't show up on the event — approving a request confirms the booking between you and the requesting organizer, it does not change any event's venue assignment.
