Managing Your Availability

There is no self-service calendar for blocking dates in the vendor portal today — nothing under this heading lets you mark specific days as unavailable. What actually determines whether you get offered work is your visibility in the marketplace and how you respond to individual invitations as they arrive.

What actually controls whether you get invited

  • Your service listings — organizers can only find you through marketplace search, or pick you when assigning a vendor to an event, while a service is marked Active in My Services. Deactivating a service removes it from search results and stops new enquiries for it, but it will not withdraw you from events you are already Invited to or Confirmed for.
  • Accepting or declining individual invitations — the only date-specific control you actually have is deciding, event by event, whether to accept once an invitation exists. There is no way to tell the platform in advance that a particular week is booked.

How to stop new enquiries for a service

  1. Go to My Services in your vendor sidebar.
  2. Open the service you want to pause and edit it.
  3. Untick Active (visible to organizers) and save. The service disappears from marketplace search and from the list organizers use when assigning vendors to an event.
  4. Re-tick it whenever you are ready to take on new work again.

Good to know

  • Deactivating a service is an all-or-nothing switch for that service, not a calendar — it cannot express “unavailable for two weeks only.” You have to remember to reactivate it yourself afterwards.
  • Organizers assigning a vendor to an event choose from your approved profile and active services; the platform does not check your schedule for conflicts before they invite you. Avoiding a double-booking is down to you declining, not the system blocking it.
  • Turning a service off does not cancel or change any assignment, task, contract, or invoice you already have — those continue independently of your service listings.

Troubleshooting

  • I keep getting invited to dates I cannot cover — decline those specific invitations (see Responding to Event Requests); there is currently no way to block dates in advance.
  • I deactivated my only service but organizers can still see my profile — your public profile page can still be reached directly if someone already has the link, and your reviews and portfolio remain visible. Deactivating a service only removes it from search results and from the assignment picker, not your whole profile.
