Event Information is the full editor for an event once it exists: everything from title and description to the booking window, timezone and currency, and the public URL slug. It is the page to use for day-to-day changes once you are working from the manage dashboard.
What you can change here
- Title, description, category, cover image.
- Online vs. in-person — toggling online hides the venue/address/city/country fields (which are otherwise required) and instead requires a streaming/meeting URL.
- Dates — start date/time (required), end date/time, and a separate go-live date/time for a Scheduled event — editable here, not only at creation.
- Timezone & currency — the event's own timezone (used for every schedule/lifecycle comparison) and its payment currency.
- Booking window — optional start/end dates that control when ticket sales open and close, independent of the event's own dates.
- Visibility — Public or Private.
- Custom URL slug — the organizer-chosen part of the public event URL.
Good to know
- Date/time fields use the same date-time picker as the rest of the app; values are the wall-clock time in the event's own timezone, not converted per viewer — two attendees in different timezones see the same displayed time.
- Changing the timezone after tickets have started selling changes how the go-live and booking-window checks are evaluated from that point on; it does not retroactively re-time anything that already happened.
- The custom slug is part of the public URL you may already have shared or cross-posted elsewhere — changing it breaks any link still using the old one.
- The go-live date/time field here has no “must be in the future” rule (unlike the wizard), so you can still save other changes on an event whose scheduled go-live time has already passed.
Troubleshooting
- Saving fails with a venue/address/city/country error — those fields are required unless Online is switched on for this event.
- The streaming URL will not save — it is required once Online is switched on.
- Booking window dates rejected — the end date must be on or after the start date.
