The event page is where a listing turns into a purchase decision — everything you need to know about the event, and every ticket type on offer, lives here.
What is on the page
- Cover image, category and badges — a Featured badge and an age-restriction badge (if the organizer set a minimum age) sit next to the category chip.
- Date, time and location — shown in the event’s own time zone, with the zone abbreviation next to the time so it is unambiguous even if you are elsewhere. Online events show “link shared after” instead of a venue.
- Ticket widget — every active ticket type, its current price (including any flash-sale or scheduled price change), and a quantity selector, with Sold Out / Selling Fast / Filling Up status badges as inventory moves.
- Venue and map — an embedded map with a “get directions” link, for in-person events.
- Organizer — name, follower count, a Follow button and a Contact Organizer link.
- Sponsors — approved sponsors for the event, if any.
- Ratings & reviews — the average score, the star distribution, and individual reviews (with the organizer’s reply shown underneath, if they replied).
- Save and share — a heart icon (signed-in users) to add the event to your saved list, and share buttons next to it.
- Related and similar events — more events in the same category, plus an AI-suggested “similar events” strip.
How to book
- Set a quantity next to one or more ticket types in the widget.
- The order summary appears once you have selected at least one ticket, with fees broken out only when the organizer passes them on to the buyer.
- Select “Book Now” to go to checkout with those quantities carried over.
- Guests can check out with just a name and email unless the organizer requires sign-in for this specific event — the button and hint text reflect which applies.
Good to know
- Seated events do not pick seats on this page — you choose quantities here, then pick specific seats on the checkout page for events that have an active seat map.
- The displayed price already reflects any active flash sale or scheduled pricing rule — the number in the widget is the number you will actually be charged.
- You can only leave a rating once you are eligible (generally, once you have attended), and only one review per event per person — the form switches to an edit view if you already reviewed it.
- Following the organizer and contacting them are independent of buying a ticket — you do not need a booking to do either.
Troubleshooting
- Every ticket type shows Sold Out — the Book Now button disables itself in that case rather than letting you select zero quantity and continue.
- Prices moved since I last looked — the widget always reflects the live price, including timed flash sales that can start or end between visits.
- I cannot find a way to rate the event — the rating form only appears once you meet the eligibility check; it is hidden (not just disabled) otherwise.
