Edit Event

Edit Event is the original, lighter-weight event form — title, description, image, dates and physical location. It exists alongside the newer Event Information page in the manage area; both edit the same event record, but this one has a smaller field set and no online-event toggle.

What you can change here

  • Title, category, description — description is rich text.
  • Event image — the current image is shown; uploading a new file replaces it, leaving the field blank keeps the existing image.
  • Start and end date/time — plain date/time fields, enhanced by the same date-time picker used everywhere else in the app.
  • Venue, address, city, state, country — required for every event edited here, since this form has no toggle for an online-only event.

Good to know

  • The Published and Featured checkboxes on this page are display-only leftovers — saving the form does not change either one. Move the event between Draft/Scheduled/Live/Paused/Cancelled/Completed from the status buttons on the Overview page instead; Featured is set by EventMann staff, not organizers.
  • This is one of the pages the Event Intelligence checklist links to for the basics, location and tickets checks — even though ticket types themselves are managed on the separate Ticket Types page, not here.
  • Saving here returns you to My Events, not to the manage dashboard.
  • Changing here requires the edit permission for this event; the owner always has it, team members need it granted on their role.

Troubleshooting

  • I unchecked Published but the event is still live — that checkbox has no effect on this form; use Pause or Cancel Event from the Overview page.
  • Venue fields will not save empty — venue, address, city and country are required on this form even for what will become an online-only listing; use Event Information instead, which has a proper online-event toggle.
  • End date rejected — it must be after the start date.
