Browse Events is where you find events currently open to staff and volunteers, and apply to the ones you want to work.
What you'll see
- A grid of upcoming events with their image (if the organizer added one), title, date, and city.
- An Apply to Volunteer button on any event you haven't applied to yet.
- A status tag instead of the button once you have applied: Applied, Approved, or Rejected.
How to apply
- Click Apply to Volunteer on the event you want to work.
- Your application is submitted immediately with a status of Applied — there's no form to fill in first.
- While it's still Applied, you can click Cancel Application on the same card to withdraw.
Good to know
- Only published, public events with a start date today or later are listed. A draft or private event never appears here, even if you already know its name.
- There's no keyword, skill, or location filter on this page — every open upcoming event is shown, paginated.
- Applying doesn't cost you anything and doesn't commit the organizer to anything either — it's a request, reviewed on their side.
Troubleshooting
- An event I know about isn't listed — it may still be a draft, set to private, or already past its start date.
- The Apply button is gone — you've already applied; check the status tag on the card to see where it stands.
- Cancel Application isn't there — you can only cancel while the status is Applied. Once an organizer has approved or rejected it, withdrawing yourself isn't possible from here — message the organizer instead.
