How to Find Events

Not sure what is on yet? Here is every way to discover events on EventMann, whether you already know what you are looking for or just want to see what is happening near you.
Ways to look for something
- Search — type a name, city, venue, or keyword into the search bar on the Events page and press search.
- Category filter — narrow the list down to a single category (Music, Sports, Arts, and so on).
- Date filter — jump straight to what is on Today, This Weekend, This Week, or This Month.
- For You — a page of picks built around your past bookings, plus trending events everyone is buying right now.
- Nearby — events close to you, worked out from your phone or browser's location.
Getting more relevant results
Combine the search box with the category and date filters to cut a long list down fast — for example, search “jazz” and set the date filter to This Weekend. Clear a filter at any time to go back to seeing everything.
The For You page gets better the more you use EventMann: it looks at events you have booked before and, if you are signed in, groups of events built around the categories you keep coming back to (for example, “Because you attended a comedy show”). If you are not signed in, or you are new, you will see trending events instead.
Nearby works by asking your browser for permission to use your location, then matching that to your city. If you say no to the location prompt, or your browser blocks it, use search or the category filter instead — there is no way to see nearby events without allowing location access.
Good to know
- You do not need an account to browse or search — only some events require you to be signed in before you can book (you will be prompted to log in at that point).
- An event you can find in search should also be bookable straight away; if the “Buy Tickets” button is missing or greyed out, sales have not opened yet or have already closed for that event.
Troubleshooting
- I know an event exists but cannot find it — it may not be published yet, may already be over, or may have been paused or cancelled by its organizer. Try searching by the organizer's name instead of the event name.
- “For You” looks empty or generic — this is normal if you are new or have not booked anything yet. It fills in once you have a booking history, or you can set your interests to speed this up.
- Nearby is not showing anything — check that you allowed the location prompt, and that there are published events in your city at all.
