Event Venue assigns one of your saved venues to this event, or detaches it to run online-only. Use it once a venue already exists in your venue library — venues are created separately from the event itself.

What you can do here

  • Assign or change venue — pick from your active venues; the page checks availability for the event's own dates and flags a conflict if the venue is already booked over that range.
  • Clone layout — shown only once the assigned venue has seating zones; copies that venue's seat map onto this event so you can adjust it independently without touching the venue's master layout.
  • Detach venue — removes the assignment; the event keeps whatever address fields were entered on Event Information, it just stops being linked to a specific saved venue.

What the current venue card shows

  • Name, city and country of the assigned venue.
  • Its capacity and its own timezone, if either is set on the venue record.
  • A direct link to view the venue's own page.

Good to know

  • Only venues you own appear in the picker, and only active ones.
  • The availability check runs live, against this event's current start and end dates — fix the dates on Event Information first if they are wrong, then come back here.
  • Detaching a venue does not delete any seat map already cloned onto the event.

Troubleshooting

  • No venues to choose from — you have not created one yet; the page links straight to Create Venue.
  • Conflict warning after assigning — another event of yours already has this venue booked over an overlapping date range; either change one event's dates or choose a different venue.
  • Clone Layout is not offered — the assigned venue has no seating zones defined yet.
